Butyl acrylate, also known as 2-butyl acrylate and n-butyl acrylate, is a colorless liquid with the molecular formula C 7 H 12 O 2. The chemical category is acryloyl compounds. Almost insoluble in water, with toxicity similar to methyl acrylate. Irritating to the skin and eyes. Soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, ether, acetone, etc.
